- A small town that time has (almost) forgotten.
- Our B&B was a converted old general store, with some of the furnishings still intact.
- Eight to a van — after we got our gear together, we scattered up & downstream.
- Not too cold for wet wading.
- Fishing in peace — not another angler in sight!
- Incredible sight lines — we could see for miles.
- Fantastic to be standing in the river, fishing, and hear a half-mile long freight train chug by.
- Temperature never above 75 degree F.
- This is the closest I ever got to another angler, and that was just until I hiked way up the trail.
- Cold, fast water, but small rocks!
- On the calmer & deeper water, we used indicators.
- No fish today, but lots of adventure nonetheless.
- Ankle-deep & loving it!
- The Frank Slide was one of the largest rock slides in the history of North America.
- A huge cut-throat was lurking in this deep pool!
- Jim enticed this big cutthroat with a huge “atomic ant” like fly.
- Evidence that I will never earn a living tying flies.
